H1 Ignition Error

Alright, I'm having a weird issue with my 2023 Hyundai H1 diesel. It's got about 183k km on it. The engine just won't start, and the error memory keeps throwing a "Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted" error. I've checked the battery terminals – they seem fine. Any ideas where to start looking? I'm thinking maybe a relay or something?

Summary of the thread

The issue with the 2023 Hyundai H1 diesel involves the engine not starting and an error message indicating "Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted." Initial checks of the battery terminals showed no issues. A possible cause suggested was a faulty relay or wiring harness connection. Upon further investigation, it was found that a defective cable was the source of the problem, which was resolved by a professional repair, confirming the wiring harness as a common trouble area.

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Hyundai H1 (can't remember the exact year). It turned out to be a dodgy wiring harness connection. Did you check those thoroughly? Especially around the power supply area and the relay switch?

Wiring harness, huh? I gave them a quick look, but didn't really dig deep. Where exactly should I be focusing my attention? Any specific spots on the harness that are known trouble areas?

Yeah, it's a pain to trace. Honestly, in my case, it was easier to just take it to a workshop. They found a defective cable or plug connection on the component pretty quickly. Saved me a bunch of time and frustration in the end. Could very well be the source of your issues as well.

Thanks a lot for the tip! I think I'll bite the bullet and take it to a shop. It's probably beyond my skillset and patience level, haha. Just got the car from the shop. It turned out to be a defective cable as you correctly pointed out. Cost me 95€ to get it fixed. Appreciate the help!
