H1 Radio Reception Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Hyundai H1 diesel is experiencing radio reception issues, with the infotainment system showing an error and the audio being inoperable. The problem could be related to the antenna, possibly due to a loose or corroded cable connection. It is suggested to check the antenna cable connection at the back of the radio unit, but given the error message and complete audio failure, consulting a mechanic is recommended. The issue might involve a defective antenna system, as indicated by the error memory.

Thanks, I haven't checked the cable connection yet. Is getting to the back of the radio unit difficult? Any precautions to avoid damage?

Accessing the unit varies, but usually involves removing trim panels. Since you're getting an error code and complete audio failure, it might be more than a loose connection. Honestly, with the error message and potential for damage, a workshop might be best. My antenna booster was defective.

Thanks, based on the symptoms and your experience, I'll book a mechanic to check the antenna system. The error memory pointed to a defective antenna. The repair was about 255€. I appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar! I had similar radio cut-outs and static with my old Opel Corsa. Have you checked the antenna cable connection at the back of the radio unit? They can come loose or corrode and cause a bad signal.
