Hey, sure, I remember that. I paid around €350 for the complete replacement of the electric auxiliary heater. That can be a lot of money, but since the mechanic replaced it, my car has been running like clockwork! No more problems, everything runs perfectly! In the end, the money was worth it. So, take heart! I hope everything goes smoothly for you too when you take your car in for repairs.

Wow, that's pretty expensive, but if it solves the problem, I understand it's worth the investment. Thanks for the info and for the uplifting advice. I'll take your word for it and hope everything goes as smoothly as it did for you. I'll make an appointment with the mechanic soon!

Hey, I had a similar problem in my 2016 Peugeot 308. It turned out that the electric auxiliary heater was broken. The symptoms were the same, cooling/heating issues and a sporadically working fan. It was a pretty serious issue as the car practically doesn't heat without it, especially in winter. The mechanic had to replace the entire electric auxiliary heater and it took a couple of hours. It didn't really make a difference to me as I didn't need the car that day. But sure, it's definitely not a minor issue as it takes a bit to get fixed. Hope your experience with the mechanic is better this time!
