Hey, thanks for the answer! That's good information. Do you remember how much you had to fork out to have the cable connection repaired? And have there been any other problems since then? It would be good to know a little more before I go to the workshop. Thanks in advance!

Hi, you're welcome! Yes, it cost me €155 to repair the cable connection. I know that sounds like a lot of money, but since then the problem has been solved and so far there have been no further problems in this direction. After the visit to the workshop, the previously suspected defect in the fogging sensor was also back in the green zone. So, don't worry, it's definitely solvable. I hope this helps you!

Great, that sounds reassuring! Of course, €155 is not a lot, but if everything runs smoothly again afterwards, it's probably worth it. I'll take care of it and organize an appointment at the workshop. Hopefully it really is just the cable connections. Your experience has definitely helped me. Thanks again for your help!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my 2013 Benz E-Class. In my case it was a fault with the cable connection, not the defrost sensor. My car also had symptoms such as non-heating and defrosting mirrors. At the workshop, they fixed the cable connection and everything has worked perfectly ever since. It wasn't a small job, but fortunately it wasn't a serious problem for the engine or anything like that. Nevertheless, you shouldn't take it lightly and have it fixed as soon as possible. Hopefully my experience will help you!
