Heating problems and warning lights in 2021 Mercedes CLK Class Diesel with 129,343 km mileage
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
The 2021 Mercedes CLK Class Diesel is experiencing heating and ventilation issues, along with a warning light on the speedometer. The suspected cause is a faulty outside temperature sensor, potentially due to a defective cable or plug connection. The recommended solution is to have a mechanic replace the sensor and repair any damaged cable connections. This has been proven effective in resolving similar issues in a 2018 Mercedes E-Class Diesel.

Hey thanks for the reply! Great that you had the same problem and it was solved. Do you happen to remember how much you had to pay for it? And has there been anything new since then, or is everything running smoothly now? Regards!

Hey, no problem! So, the repair cost me €155. A decent amount, but since then the malfunctioning outside temperature sensor has been fixed and I've had no further problems with the heating/ventilation. So I would say it was worth the money. Since the visit to the mechanic, everything has been running perfectly. Hope this helps and good luck with your car! Greetings back!

Great, thanks for the information! It definitely helps with the budget planning. Then I'll go to the mechanic tomorrow and have it checked. Hopefully everything will go as smoothly as it did for you. Thanks again!

Why is my Mercedes b200 developing a change of weird sounds? The sound fades mostly when making a left u-turn, and continues when on a straight path.

Can really empathize with your pain, I had exactly the same problems with my 2018 Mercedes E-Class Diesel. It was indeed the outside temperature sensor. It turned out that the cable or plug connection from the sensor was defective. A really serious problem because my heating wasn't working properly either and the warning light kept coming on. During the last visit to the garage, the mechanics replaced the defective sensor and checked and repaired the cable connections, as these were also damaged. This was not a quick job, but everything ran smoothly again afterwards. Hope this helps you, good luck!
