Heating problems with Peugeot 107 Diesel: Exchange of experience and advice on visiting the workshop

Hey guys, I'm worried about my 2014 Peugeot 107 diesel with 70,059 km on the clock. The warning light in the speedometer is flashing, the car is overheating and the coolant level is low. I suspect it is due to a faulty PTC heater. Has anyone had similar problems and can tell me about their experience with the garage? I really had a lot of stress last time. Thank you for your help!

Hi mate, I had a similar annoyance with my 2011 Peugeot 207 diesel. It was actually the electric auxiliary heater that was faulty, just as you suspect. I also had the warning light on and the coolant level was also low. The workshop then determined that the auxiliary heater had to be replaced. So, yes, it is a serious issue. The good news is that once it was fixed, the car ran like clockwork again. Fingers crossed that it's just as easy for you!

Hey, thanks for your reply! Do you happen to remember how much you had to pay for the repair? And has anything similar happened again since then? It would really reassure me to know that everything is running smoothly again after the repair!

Hey, no problem! Well, the repair cost me €350 at the time. I thought that was quite expensive, but since then the PTC heater hasn't had any more problems. After the new installation, the car runs smoothly again. Nothing similar has happened again. I hope you feel the same way and that you can soon get back behind the wheel with peace of mind!

Oh, that really reassures me! 350 is not cheap, but if the car runs well again afterwards, it's money well spent. I'd rather put up with the stress of going to the garage! Thank you very much for your help. Now I can go to the garage a bit more relaxed. Have a nice day!
