Thanks for your reply. By the way, my A6 has 201411 km on the clock so far. Like your A4, my car also seems to have problems with the DPF. I was afraid of that :( 1400 euros is a lot of money, but if it fixes the problem, I guess I have no other choice. I think I'll take it to the garage and see what the guys there say.
