HHR Electronic Parking Brake Failure
Summary of the thread
The electronic parking brake on a 2010 Chevy HHR is malfunctioning, indicated by an error code and warning light. The suspected cause is the calliper motor, but a faulty brake switch could also be responsible. It is recommended to have the vehicle professionally inspected to accurately diagnose and resolve the issue.

Where is the brake switch located, and is it hard to get to? Could that cause this?

The switch can cause problems. On the Insignia, it was near the centre console. But with those symptoms, and if you suspect the calliper motor, you're probably better off getting it checked professionally. It saved me hassle.

Appreciate the heads-up. I'll take it to a workshop. Wish me luck, I don't need to spend 505€ right now.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Vauxhall Insignia. The electronic parking brake failed with the same symptoms. Did you check the brake switch?
