HHR Intermittent Electrical Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Chevrolet HHR is experiencing an intermittent electrical issue, specifically with Terminal 30's power, leading to poor starting. Initial checks of the main fuses and battery connections showed no obvious problems. The issue might be due to a faulty circuit breaker or ignition switch. Suggestions include properly load-testing the battery and considering professional workshop assistance if the problem persists.

Thanks for the suggestion! I did a quick voltage check, and it seemed okay at rest, but maybe it's dropping significantly under load. Was your issue also intermittent, and did you notice any other symptoms alongside the poor starting?

Yes, mine was intermittent as well, and the starting was definitely the biggest issue. If your battery seems okay, I'd recommend getting it properly load-tested. Honestly, after chasing it for a while, I ended up taking mine to a workshop, and they were able to pinpoint the problem. It might save you some time and frustration in the long run.

Thanks for confirming! I suspected it might be something beyond my basic tools. I'll get the battery properly tested and probably head to a workshop if that doesn't solve it. I appreciate the advice!

Interesting issue. I had a similar problem with my HHR a while back, though I never fully understood the cause. Have you checked the battery's health? A heavily discharged or defective battery can sometimes cause weird electrical gremlins like that. Just a thought.
