Hiace Air Suspension Problem

Hi, I'm having trouble with the air suspension compressor on my 2016 Toyota Hiace diesel with 176095 km. It won't lift, and it's leaning. There's an error stored and a message on the speedometer, causing the low beams to shine wrong. A warning light is also on. I suspect a bad cable or plug to the compressor. Anyone seen this?

Summary of the thread

The air suspension compressor on a 2016 Toyota Hiace is malfunctioning, causing the vehicle to lean and display error messages. The suspected cause is a bad cable or plug connection to the compressor. A similar issue was resolved in another vehicle by addressing a faulty connection, suggesting that professional inspection and repair of the electrical connections may be necessary. The problem was confirmed to be a defective cable connection, which was repaired at a workshop.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Wow, that sounds frustrating! I had a similar problem with my 2018 Audi A6. The air suspension went completely haywire. It was a nightmare. The car would lean, and I got all sorts of error messages. Did you check the fuse for the air suspension compressor? That was the first thing my mechanic suggested for my Audi.

Thanks! Yes, I checked the fuse, and it's fine. Anything else you recall that might be relevant? I'm trying to avoid replacing the whole compressor.

Okay, so the fuse is fine. In my Audi's case, it turned out to be a faulty connection, just like you suspect. Honestly, chasing down electrical gremlins like that can be a real pain. I ended up taking it to my local independent workshop and they solved it in a couple of hours. Given the symptoms and your initial diagnosis, I'd seriously consider having a professional take a look. I remember spending quite a bit of time searching online but found no easy solution. Save yourself the headache.

Thanks for sharing your Audi experience. I took it to a workshop. It was a defective cable connection to the compressor, like I thought. The repair was 95€.
