Hiace ignition error

Bloody electrics! My 2018 Toyota Hiace diesel is being a right pain. Keeps throwing an error and won't start. The error memory says something about 'Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted'. I've checked the obvious stuff like the battery terminal, but I'm stumped. Any ideas before I set it on fire?

I had something similar with my Hiace. Sounds like a dodgy cable or plug connection somewhere. It was a real head-scratcher. Did you check the fuse box thoroughly? It could also be the ignition switch or the starter solenoid. Think of it like a dodgy water pipe – somewhere, the flow is blocked or leaking.

Fuse box I checked, but ignition switch and starter solenoid are new to me - where are those located? Is it something I can easily check myself, or am I going to need specialized equipment?

Yeah, those are a bit more involved. The ignition switch is behind the steering wheel column, and the starter solenoid is usually attached to the starter motor itself, under the vehicle. Honestly, if you're not super confident with electrics, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. Better safe than sorry, and you might end up causing more damage. Like trying to fix a blocked drain with a hammer!

Cheers. Sounds like a job for the professionals, then. Took it to the shop, and it turned out to be a defective connection as you said, and it cost me 95€. Thanks for the help!
