Hiace MAF Sensor Issue

Help! My 2018 Toyota Hiace diesel is acting up. Getting higher fuel consumption, engine stalls at idle, check engine light is on, and smoke on acceleration. My mileage is 151607 km. Could this be the MAF sensor? Feels like a faulty air intake to me!

Summary of the thread

These symptoms suggest a potential issue with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, possibly due to a faulty air intake. The problem was confirmed to be the MAF sensor, and replacing it resolved the issues, restoring the vehicle's performance.

I had similar symptoms on my Hiace. Could be a faulty MAF sensor. Is your air filter clean?

Air filter is clean, checked that first. Did replacing the MAF sensor fix it for you?

Confirming the issue was the MAF sensor. I'd recommend going to a workshop for diagnosis and replacement.

Thanks for the confirmation! It was indeed the MAF sensor! Cost me 365€ to replace. Runs like new now!
