Hiace rough running

Sounds like injector clogging. I had similar symptoms on my old Renault Megane diesel. Start problems, rough idle, and felt like I was towing a boat anchor. Have you tried any fuel additives to clean the system? Could be worth a shot before you start ripping things apart.

My Renault was throwing misfire codes, yes. Symptoms got progressively worse over a couple of weeks. Honestly, I'd get the injectors checked professionally. Clogged injectors can cause serious damage if left untreated. Best to get it diagnosed properly before you end up with a bigger bill.

You were spot on. Took it to the shop, turns out the injection nozzle was defective, looked dirty as hell. They cleaned the whole fuel injection system and replaced the bad nozzle. Cost me 515€, but she's running like new again. Thanks for the advice!
