Hiace Transmission Issue

My 2008 Toyota Hiace, gasoline engine, with 87k on the clock is acting up. The transmission indicator and check engine lights are both on. It's stuck in emergency mode, shifting rough, slipping gears, and making some nasty grinding noises. Error memory isn't empty either. Suspect a dodgy cable or plug on a component. Could it be the radiator oil pressure?

I had something similar with my Toyota Hiace. Is the radiator coolant level correct? It could be related to the pressure sensor or the oil cooler lines. Have you checked the pressure gauge readings? Might also be worth inspecting the radiator for any visible damage or leaks.

Coolant level looks fine, visually at least. Where exactly is the pressure sensor located? And could a minor radiator repair really cause all these transmission issues?

The pressure sensor's location can vary, but usually it is near the oil cooler lines. Yes, a defective radiator oil pressure can trigger those symptoms, particularly if the transmission is overheating due to inefficient cooling. I would recommend taking it to a workshop for diagnostics.

Cheers. Appreciate the advice. Turns out it was indeed a faulty connection as suspected. 95€ later and it's all sorted.
