Hiace Transport Mode Active

I'm officially pulling my hair out! I've got a 2018 Toyota Hiace, gasoline engine, and it's showing a bizarre "transport mode active" message. Only done 31445 km. The navigation is completely dead, and I'm getting all sorts of general electrical weirdness. I've checked all the fuses I can find, but I suspect it may be because it's kind of new. Any ideas?

Transport mode is a setting that limits certain vehicle functions, typically activated during manufacturing or shipping to preserve battery life and prevent unnecessary system usage. It's intended to be deactivated by the dealer before delivery. The symptoms you describe are consistent with it still being active. Have you tried looking in the car configuration settings and deactivating it?

Thanks for the quick answer! Where exactly would I find this "car configuration settings" option? Is that in the regular menu on the center display? I've poked around a bit, but haven't seen anything obvious labeled "transport mode."

The location can vary depending on the specific software version of your Hiace, but it's often buried within the main settings menu, possibly under a 'vehicle settings' or 'factory settings' submenu. Given the navigation issue, and that it's not easily found, a diagnostic check with Toyota's software might be needed to properly deactivate it. I suggest taking it to a workshop.

Alright, thanks a ton for the advice. Honestly, that makes perfect sense. I'll book it in at the local Toyota dealer ASAP to have them sort out the transport mode. The car was still in transport mode; they just switched it off. Thanks again!
