Hiace weak start flickering lights

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2019 Toyota Hiace diesel. It's got nearly 200,000 km on it. Lately, it's been struggling to start, like the battery is super weak. Also, the lights are flickering or seem dim. Could this be a bad battery sensor? Thoughts?

I had something similar happen with my Hiace. Weak starts and the lights acting funky. Have you had your battery checked recently? Have you noticed any other electrical weirdness?

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't had the battery specifically checked, just visually inspected it. No other weird electrical stuff, just the weak start and dodgy lights. Could a faulty battery sensor really cause all this?

Yeah, a bad battery sensor can definitely mess things up. It can cause low voltage issues, which would explain the weak starts and flickering lights. I ended up taking mine to a workshop, and they confirmed it was the sensor. Best to get it properly diagnosed.

Okay, thanks a bunch! I'll book it in for diagnostics and tell them to check the battery sensor. I saw some prices online, and it looks like I'll be set back around 315€. Hopefully, that fixes it. Cheers!
