Highlander GPS Signal Loss

I'm experiencing a complete loss of GPS signal in my 2013 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Diagnostic scans show an error related to the GPS antenna. Could a defective GPS antenna be the sole cause?

Sounds familiar! Do you have anything aftermarket installed? I had a similar issue with my Highlander's GPS after installing a dashcam. Turns out, the camera's wiring was causing interference. Anything like that?

Thanks. I haven't installed any aftermarket electronics. Would a failing antenna cause a complete loss of signal, or just intermittent issues?

In my case it was completely gone, like yours. If it's not aftermarket stuff, and the error code points to the antenna, it probably is. I'd suggest getting it checked at a shop; new antenna shouldn't break the bank. Cost me around 200€.

I appreciate it. I'll schedule an appointment with a technician to inspect and replace the GPS antenna if needed. The estimated cost is in line with your experience. Thanks again.
