Thanks for the reply! Yeah, it kind of feels stuck in park sometimes, like the shift lock is engaged even when it shouldn't be. Did yours throw any error codes? And how did you end up fixing it?

Yes, it sounds very similar to what I experienced. I also got error codes related to the transmission control unit. Honestly, I tried a few things, but in the end, I had to take it to a workshop. They said the control unit was faulty and needed replacing. It wasn't cheap, but it fixed the problem completely. I would recommend getting it checked out professionally.

Hey there! I had a similar problem with my Highlander (it's not a hybrid though). The engine wouldn't start sometimes, and the shifting was really jerky. Does it feel like it's stuck in park, or that the shift lever is loose? Could be a bad transmission sensor, but it's hard to say for sure.
