I haven't yet. I was hoping to avoid the hassle. What fault codes did you find?

It was a while ago, so I don't remember the exact codes, but it was ABS related, which caused the torque converter to act up. Honestly, with those symptoms, you might want to just have a workshop take a look. It could be the control module.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'll book it in for a diagnosis. Turns out the ABS module was throwing all sorts of errors; fixed it and that solved all the gearbox issues. Cost me nothing as a friend helped me out.

I had something similar happen in my Highlander. Unclean shifts and weird traction control behavior. Have you pulled any fault codes yet?
