Hilux Brake Pedal Feedback

I've got a 2008 Toyota Hilux diesel with about 58000 km. The brake pedal feels inconsistent when I apply the brakes. Fluid levels are fine. Could this be worn brake pads or something in the hydraulic system?

I own a Hilux and had a similar problem. The strange brake pedal feedback sounds familiar. Any electrical issues in the past? In my case, it was undervoltage messing with the braking system. Is your battery healthy?

That's interesting. No evident electrical issues here. How did you diagnose the undervoltage, and what braking components were affected? I'm not sure how the electrical system affects the brakes...

I had similar doubts about electrical issues and metal brakes. The garage checked the voltage when braking, and it was too low. They said the ABS gets weird signals when the voltage is off. I'd suggest a trusted workshop for a diagnostic check. It's probably undervoltage. Better safe than sorry with brakes, right?

Thanks for the advice! I'll schedule a diagnostic check, specifically looking for undervoltage affecting the braking system. It seems my worn brakes were caused by undervoltage, so I had to pay 240€ for this repair. Thanks again for your help!
