Hilux exhaust flap issue

I've got a 2002 Toyota Hilux, gasoline engine, with 181640 km. Getting an error related to the exhaust flaps. Exhaust noise is louder, and the engine sounds noisy after a cold start. Suspecting the exhaust flap is defective. Anyone else had this?

Interesting. I have a Hilux, same issue with the exhaust noise getting louder on cold starts. Did you check the flap motor itself? I'm not a mechanic, but it sounds familiar.

Yes, exactly! The noise usually subsided after a few minutes. And yep, there was an error code. I didn't dive too deep, but took mine straight to the shop, and they replaced the exhaust flap. It seems to have fixed the problem.
