Hissing Noise and Power Loss After DPF Replacement on BMW 1 Series
Summary of the thread
After replacing the DPF on a BMW 1 Series 123d, a loud hissing noise and power loss were observed during acceleration. The suspected cause is a split in the turbo pipes. It is suggested to check the connections and clamps on the turbo pipes for security and leaks, as a loose connection could lead to these symptoms.

I have an 2008 335i w/N54 engine. I get an Engine Malfunction Reduce power message and ‘low boost pressure’ is the error. We have checked all hoses and clamps and everything is tight and intact. What else would cause this?

Inspect the wastegate actuators for proper operation, as a malfunctioning wastegate can lead to low boost pressure. If the wastegate is sticking or not functioning correctly, it could cause the symptoms you're experiencing. Let me know if this resolves the issue or if you have any further questions!

Check the connections and clamps on the turbo pipes to ensure they are secure and not leaking. A loose connection can cause a hissing noise and power loss. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
