Yeah, feels like it's lost some pep. You think it's the catalytic converter? I'm dreading the cost...

It could be. In my case, it was the lambda sensor before the catalytic converter that was defective. I'd suggest getting it checked out at a workshop before you start replacing parts.

Cheers! Took it to the shop. Turns out you nailed it - lambda sensor! Cost me 375€, but at least it's fixed. Thanks!

I had a similar issue with my 2014 Opel Astra. The check engine light and the smell were the same. Was there any loss of power too?
