Honda Brio check engine light
Summary of the thread
The check engine light on a 2023 Honda Brio was suspected to be caused by an air valve issue. A rough idle was noted, which can indicate a vacuum leak due to a defective hose connection from the pump to the valve. It was advised to check for cracks or loose connections around the throttle body. Ultimately, a workshop confirmed the issue as a faulty hose connection, which was repaired.

Thanks for the insight. The idle seems a bit rough sometimes, yes. Is that a strong indicator of this particular air valve issue?

Rough idle definitely points in that direction. It's tricky to diagnose properly without tools. Best to get it checked at a workshop. They can run diagnostics and confirm the source of the air supply issue.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to the shop and it was indeed the hose connection from pump to valve. Repair cost me 175€. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar problem with my Honda Brio. Could be a defective hose connection from the pump to the valve, creating a vacuum leak. Check for cracks or loose connections around the throttle body. Does it affect the idle?
