Honda City low brake fluid
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Honda City owner is experiencing consistently low brake fluid levels and unusual brake pedal feedback. The issue is likely due to worn brake pads and rotors, causing the calipers to extend further and require more fluid. It is recommended to inspect the brakes for wear and potential leaks in the brake lines. A visit to a workshop confirmed the worn brakes, leading to a fluid replacement and installation of new pads and rotors.

Thanks for the quick reply. I suspected as much. How severe was the wear when you experienced this? Was there any noticeable difference in stopping distance?

The wear was significant, close to the wear indicators. I did notice an increase in stopping distance, but it was gradual. I'd recommend a visit to a workshop for a thorough brake inspection. They can check for leaks in the brake lines as well. It can be dangerous. Better safe than sorry.

Understood. I appreciate the insight. Took it to a certified shop, and as suspected, worn brakes were the culprit. Fluid replacement and new pads and rotors cost me 480€. Thanks again!

I've had a similar issue with my City. Check your brake pads and rotors for wear. Low fluid level is often a sign your pads are getting thin and the calipers are extending further, requiring more fluid.
