Thanks for the quick response! The car has 68841 km on it. Does that mileage point to anything specific regarding the sensor?

At that mileage, sensor failures are not uncommon. Given the symptoms and diagnostic code, it is highly probable that the intake air temperature sensor is indeed the issue. I recommend taking it to a trusted workshop for confirmation and replacement.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a local mechanic, and you were spot on. The intake air temperature sensor was faulty. They replaced it, and the total cost was 155€. The car is running smoothly again!
