Honda Jade Active Hood Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Honda Jade owner experienced an "Active hood fault" message, with the airbag warning lamp illuminating and error codes stored. The issue involved the spring actuators, which are part of the pedestrian safety system. A similar problem was resolved by replacing the acceleration sensor at a workshop, which restored the system's functionality.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Yes, that is correct. The spring actuators intended to raise the hood during a pedestrian collision. You mentioned a similar issue. Could you elaborate on the symptoms you observed, and what measures you took to resolve the problem?

Indeed, the same warning lights and error message appeared. Given the complexity of the pedestrian safety system - it involves sensors, actuators and quite a bit of software - and after checking the usual suspects, I simply took it to a workshop. Seems like the safest course of action in this case. I'd suggest you do the same.

Thank you for the confirmation and advice. I had the acceleration sensor replaced at a workshop, as I also suspected this to be the root cause. The repair cost was 315€. The system is now functioning correctly.

I have a Honda Jade, though I'm not sure what year, and a similar thing happened to me some time ago. By spring actuators, do you mean the parts that are supposed to make the hood pop up in case of a pedestrian collision? Because the system might be detecting a false positive.
