Honda Jade VANOS Solenoid Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Honda Jade owner experienced a check engine light and increased fuel consumption, with diagnostics indicating a fault in the inlet VANOS mechanics. Possible causes include issues with the VANOS solenoid or its power supply. The recommended solution is to inspect or replace the solenoid valve, preferably at a workshop if lacking the necessary tools. The problem was resolved by replacing a defective VANOS solenoid valve.

Thanks for the input. I haven't inspected anything myself, to be honest. Is it something easily checked, or does it require special tools?

It's probably a faulty camshaft solenoid valve or a power supply issue. If you don't have the tools, I suggest taking it to a workshop. I ended up doing that.

Understood. Thanks for sharing your experience. It turned out to be a defective VANOS solenoid valve, as suspected. Repair cost was around 250€. Appreciate the help!

I had similar symptoms with my Jade. Check engine light and high fuel consumption can be a sign of VANOS solenoid issues. Have you tried inspecting the solenoid valves or the power supply to them?
