Honda Legend Camshaft Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Honda Legend hybrid with 90,000 km is experiencing starting difficulties, stalling at idle, and a persistent check engine light. The issue is identified as a camshaft sensor fault, potentially due to a defective encoder wheel affecting ignition timing. A similar case confirmed the camshaft sensor as the culprit, and replacing the sensor and encoder wheel resolved the problem, restoring the car's performance.

Interesting! Yes, there's a slight misfire at times, now that you mention it. Was your problem definitely the camshaft sensor, or did it turn out to be something else? I've considered the crankshaft sensor too, but the codes are pretty specific. How did you resolve it?

In my case, the workshop confirmed that the camshaft sensor was faulty. Given your symptoms and error codes, it does sound very similar. I'd recommend getting it checked by a professional; it's probably not something you can easily fix yourself.

Thanks for the insight! Took it to the local garage. You were spot on - camshaft sensor. Replaced it, along with the encoder wheel, as they suspected it was damaged. Cost me 695€, but the car is running perfectly again now.

Hello there! I have a Legend too, though not the hybrid version. I had very similar symptoms a while back – the poor starting and stalling especially. The error codes also pointed to camshaft issues. I wonder, did you also notice any engine misfire?
