Honda Life electrical navigation malfunction
Summary of the thread
The 2007 Honda Life is experiencing general electrical malfunctions and a non-functional navigation system. The issues could stem from faulty software or control unit programming, potentially involving the ECU. Initial checks of the battery and fuses showed no issues, suggesting a more serious problem. It is recommended to have the vehicle diagnosed at a workshop, possibly requiring ECU reprogramming or replacement.

I've inspected the battery and fuses, and they seem fine. I'm trying to understand if this may be related to a potential control unit failure that may require replacement given the symptoms. What does the ECU involve when you state software issues?

Okay, if the fuses and battery are fine, and all those problems popped up together, it sounds more serious than a loose connection. By 'software issues' I mean the computer that controls everything, the ECU, might have corrupted data or needs reflashing. With the error codes and the navigation also failing, it's probably best to get it diagnosed. You might need a workshop to reprogram the system.

Understood. Thanks for confirming my suspicions regarding potential ECU problems. I'll schedule an appointment at a workshop to assess reprogramming or replacing the control unit to resolve these electrical and navigation malfunctions. The estimated repair cost is 240€.

That sounds like a headache. I'm no expert, but electrical issues can be tricky. Have you checked the battery connections and fuses? Sometimes a voltage drop can cause weird ECU errors. It's easy to check before diving into software. Did the problems all start at the same time?
