Honda Life Engine Stalling Low Power
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Honda Life experienced engine stalling and low power, particularly at low speeds, with the check engine light on. The issue was suspected to be related to fuel pressure, possibly due to a faulty fuel pressure regulator, especially after a recent fuel filter change. The problem was confirmed and resolved by replacing the defective fuel pressure regulator, restoring the car's performance.

Yes, the acceleration feels sluggish, like trying to accelerate through peanut butter. I was fearing it might be the fuel pump. Could you elaborate on the fuel pressure issue you experienced? Was it a fuel pressure regulator issue, and how did you resolve it?

Yep, pretty much the same. It was the fuel pressure regulator causing a pressure drop. I would recommend going to a workshop and having them check the fuel rail pressure. A faulty regulator can definitely cause those symptoms. Maybe something got dislodged when you swapped the filter.

Thanks! I took it to a local shop, and it was a defective fuel pressure regulator, just as you suspected. The error code pointed to a fuel pressure issue, and they replaced the regulator. The total cost was 45€. The car now runs perfectly again!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Life. Check engine light, rough idling. Could be a fuel pressure problem after the filter change. Is it struggling to accelerate, like trying to run through peanut butter?
