Honda Life keyless access failure
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Honda Life experienced a failure in its keyless access system, with an error indicating a potential defective cable or plug connection. The issue was suspected to be related to either a wiring fault or a defective sensor in the door handle, given that the door mechanism worked manually. The problem was resolved at a workshop, confirming a defective connection as the cause.

Yes, the door mechanism itself seems to be working fine manually. Is there a specific component or area I should be inspecting for this sensor issue?

Given that the door mechanism functions, and the error persists, it very likely points to either a wiring fault or a defective sensor in the door handle itself. Given that the fault is intermittent, it indicates that the cable is defective, rather than the module itself. For someone with your level of expertise I would recommend a workshop visit.

Thanks for the help. I took it to a workshop. Turned out to be a defective connection as we suspected. Repair cost was 95€. Appreciate the insight!

Interesting. I have a Honda Life myself. While it's not the exact same year, I did encounter a similar problem. Is the door mechanism functioning mechanically? A faulty door mechanism may also result in issues with the electronic locking.
