Honda Life power window issue
Summary of the thread
After replacing the battery in a 2004 Honda Life, the power windows stopped functioning, and an error code related to window regulator initialization appeared. This issue may occur because the car's system needs re-initialization after a battery change, similar to a computer reboot. The suggested solution is to take the vehicle to a workshop where they can use Honda diagnostic tools to re-initialize the window regulators, ensuring proper functionality.

Interesting... So, what exactly did you do to fix it? Any tricks or specific steps I should try before taking it to a workshop?

Unfortunately, I couldn't sort it out myself. Ended up taking it to a workshop, they had the Honda diagnostic tools to re-initialize the window regulators. Better safe than sorry with car electronics, imagine frying something!

Okay, thanks for the advice! It sounds like I'm heading down that path. I will take it to a shop and get it sorted. Cost me 290€ but windows work again.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar window problem with my Honda Fit. After disconnecting the battery, the window controls went haywire. It's like the car forgot how to operate them, a bit like a computer needing a reboot.
