Honda WRV engine stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Honda WRV diesel was experiencing engine stalling and a persistent check engine light. Diagnostics indicated an issue with the tank ventilation valve, potentially due to clogged hoses. After consulting with a mechanic, it was confirmed that the hoses in the emission system were indeed clogged. The faulty valve and hoses were replaced, resolving the engine light and stalling issues.

Yeah, I visually inspected them, but they seemed okay. Could it be a blockage even if they look fine from the outside?

Absolutely. A blockage inside the hose can definitely cause those symptoms, even if the hose looks fine externally. If you're not comfortable digging deeper, I'd suggest getting it checked by a workshop. They can do a proper smoke test to pinpoint the exact issue.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to a mechanic, and you were right – clogged hoses in the emission system. They replaced the faulty valve and hoses; cost me around 175€. Engine light's gone and the stalling is fixed. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. Same symptoms – check engine light and stalling. Turned out to be a problem in the EVAP system. Have you checked all the hoses for cracks or disconnections?
