Honda WRV Rear Window Heating Issue

Battery, huh? Didn't consider that. It cranks okay, but I guess that doesn't mean it's perfect. You had the exact same symptoms with the rear window auto defrost? What did it end up being?

Yep, exact same thing! The error codes, the weak windshield heating... Battery was the culprit. I tried trickle charging it, but it kept happening. Ended up swapping it out. Unless you have the tools and knowledge to diagnose further, might be worth getting it checked at a workshop.

Workshop it is. You've saved me hours of messing around with relays. Turns out you were spot on – battery was bad. New one fitted, rear window heater working again. Total cost 290€. Appreciate the help!

Interesting. I had something similar with my WRV. Is your battery on its way out? A heavily discharged or defective battery can cause all sorts of electrical problems. Check the voltage, that might give you a clue.
