I visually inspected the plug and the visible wire, but didn't check the entire harness. Where exactly on the harness did you find the damage on your Corsa? Was it obvious?

For me, the issue was corrosion inside the plug that connects to the sensor, but the mechanic told me that sometimes the wires themselves can fray or break further down the harness, where it's not so easy to see. Given your symptoms and the error code, it's probably worth getting it properly diagnosed. Could save you a lot of headache.

Okay, thanks for the advice! I think I'll take it to the workshop. It turns out the camshaft sensor cable/plug was defective, just like I suspected. Repair cost me 95€. Hopefully, that'll sort it out!

I had a similar problem with my old Opel Corsa. Same symptoms – poor starting, loss of power. It turned out to be a faulty crankshaft position sensor. Did you check the wiring harness for any damage or corrosion? That was the culprit in my case.
