HRV Intake Manifold Flap Issue
Summary of the thread
The conversation centers around a 2021 HRV diesel experiencing reduced power, rough running, jerking on acceleration, loud hissing, and higher fuel consumption, suspected to be caused by an intake manifold flap control issue. The problem is confirmed by trouble codes pointing to the actuator. A suggestion is made to consult a qualified technician for a proper diagnosis to determine if the entire intake manifold needs replacement or if other issues are present. The decision is made to proceed with the repair, costing 465€.

Yeah, the actuator. It's throwing codes pointing to that. Did you end up replacing the whole manifold, or just the actuator on your CRV?

Ah, trouble codes are a pain. I did replace the entire intake manifold, as the actuator isn't always available separately. However, before doing so, I would highly recommend consulting a qualified technician. A proper diagnosis can determine whether the entire unit requires replacement, or if there are other underlying issues contributing to the symptoms you are experiencing. It can save you a lot of money and time.

Whoa, those symptoms sound rough! I had a similar problem with my Honda CRV. It wasn't exactly the same, but the engine performance was definitely suffering. Rough idling and the acceleration was sluggish. Have you checked for any obvious leaks in the intake system? When you say 'intake manifold flap control', are you talking about the little actuator thingy that controls the air intake?
