HRV Solar Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Honda HRV owner reported a 'solar sensor fault' error and low heating output. The issue was suspected to be either a faulty sensor or a poor connection. Another individual with a similar experience suggested checking the cable and plug connection to the solar sensor. The problem was confirmed to be a defective cable and plug connection, which was resolved at a workshop.

Where exactly is that solar sensor located? I had a quick look but couldn't spot it right away. Is it easy to get to?

Yeah, that was my exact symptom too. In my case it was easier to let the mechanics at the workshop deal with it to avoid further damage. They traced it to a defective cable and plug connection.

Thanks! I went to the workshop and they confirmed the diagnosis: defective cable and plug connection. 95€ later and everything's working fine. Appreciate the help!

I had something similar in my HRV, although I didn't check the error memory. Heating was definitely poor. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the solar sensor? That was the problem for me.
