HRV Solar Sensor Fault

Hi, I have a 2021 Honda HRV, diesel engine, with 30142 km on the clock. I'm getting a 'solar sensor fault' error stored in the memory. The heating output is also too low. Could this be the sensor itself, or maybe just a dodgy connection?

I had something similar in my HRV, although I didn't check the error memory. Heating was definitely poor. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the solar sensor? That was the problem for me.

Where exactly is that solar sensor located? I had a quick look but couldn't spot it right away. Is it easy to get to?

Yeah, that was my exact symptom too. In my case it was easier to let the mechanics at the workshop deal with it to avoid further damage. They traced it to a defective cable and plug connection.
