Jerking a bit... yeah, now that you mention it, it does feel a little jerky sometimes. What exactly did you experience and how did you pinpoint it to the pedal module and throttle valve?

My HRV had identical symptoms and after changing the throttle valve and checking the whole unit, things went back to normal. I'd highly recommend you to visit a trusted workshop. That's the safest bet and it might prevent you from wasting money on changing random parts.

Thanks a lot for the advice! Took it to a shop, and you were spot on. Turns out the throttle valve was indeed defective. They replaced the accelerator pedal module for 205€, and now it's running smoothly again. Fuel efficiency seems back to normal too!

Interesting. I've got an HRV too, though not sure about the year. Higher fuel consumption and poor starts sound familiar. Was the car jerking a bit as you accelerate? The accelerator pedal module would be an interesting point.
