Did you do a continuity test of the sensor circuit? I'm interested in any resistance values that deviated from spec.

My tests didn't give clear results, and it was hard to find the problem. I took my HRV to a workshop, and they fixed it fast. I'd advise you to do the same.

I'll check the wiring harness and sensor connections. If that doesn't work, I'll see a technician. Repair cost should be around 95€.

I own a Honda HRV too. I had similar symptoms, check engine light and erratic engine. Diagnostic codes pointed to a sensor fault in the auto electronics. It was a pain.
