Hyundai Eon check engine light and power loss
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Hyundai Eon is experiencing a check engine light and reduced power, accompanied by a whistling noise during acceleration. The error code points to the charge air temperature sensor. While no visible issues were found, a loose or faulty connection could be the cause. Checking the sensor's cable and plug connection is suggested, but a visit to a workshop may be necessary for a thorough inspection and resolution.

Yeah, I took a quick look, but didn't see anything obvious. Was it visibly damaged, or did you have to do some more in-depth inspection to find the problem?

For me, it was not visibly damaged but the connection was loose. I would suggest checking it again or going to the workshop.

Thanks, I'll take another look at the connections, but it sounds like a workshop visit is probably the best bet. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar problem with my old Opel Corsa. Same symptoms: check engine light and loss of power. The error was related to an automotive sensor as well. Have you checked the cable and plug connection of the component? That was the culprit in my case.
