Hyundai Eon Stalling After Fuel Filter Change
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Hyundai Eon experienced stalling and reduced engine power after a fuel filter change, with the check engine light activated. The issue was suspected to be a pressure drop, potentially linked to the fuel pressure regulator. After consulting with others who had similar experiences, it was advised to check the fuel rail pressure. The problem was confirmed to be a defective fuel pressure regulator, which was replaced, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the tip. What exactly was happening with yours when the regulator was acting up? Any other symptoms?

Yeah, the engine was running rough, and my fuel efficiency went down the drain. I'd suggest getting the fuel rail pressure checked at a workshop to be sure. Could also be the fuel pump but better safe than sorry.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a workshop, and it turned out the fuel pressure regulator was defective after the filter change, error entry it was. 45€ later and it runs fine again.

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Eon. Check the fuel pressure regulator. It could be a faulty reading due to the new filter.
