Hyundai H1 Low DPF Pressure
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Hyundai H1 diesel exhibited symptoms of an engine warning light, reduced power, smoke on acceleration, and a strong exhaust smell. The diagnostic tool indicated low diesel particulate filter (DPF) exhaust pressure. A suggested cause was a faulty exhaust back pressure sensor, which was confirmed and replaced by a workshop, resolving the issue.

Thanks! I'm not sure about the DPF regeneration. How do I check that? And where's the exhaust back pressure sensor located on the H1?

If your DPF isn't regenerating properly, that can cause low pressure. The sensor is usually near the DPF, part of the exhaust system. I'd recommend a workshop; they can diagnose it and replace the sensor if needed.

Thanks! I took it to a local workshop, and it was the exhaust back pressure sensor. Replaced it, and it runs perfectly. The repair cost 245€. Really appreciate your advice!

I also own a Hyundai H1 diesel and had similar symptoms. It was a faulty exhaust back pressure sensor. Check if that's the problem. Was the DPF regeneration working before?
