Yep, exactly that! It starts to open, then just stops. Where exactly should I be looking for the sensor connection and tailgate motor?

Sounds like the exact same problem I had. Honestly, it's a pain to get to and fiddly. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. In my case, the diagnostic plus repair was around 95€. They'll sort it out properly and save you the headache.

Hey! I had something similar with my H1. Was the automatic tailgate acting up? Does it try to open but then stops abruptly? Could be the sensor connection like you said, but check the tailgate motor too.
