Hyundai i10 active air flap fault
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Hyundai i10 is experiencing a check engine light and overheating, with a diagnostic scan indicating an active air flap fault. This issue may be caused by a malfunctioning grille shutter, which is part of the cooling system. The suggested solution is to have the vehicle inspected at a workshop, where proper diagnostics can confirm the problem and the faulty part can be replaced if necessary.

By 'grille shutter', do you mean the active air flap that controls airflow to the radiator? Could you please give me more details on the issue that you faced?

Yes, exactly! The active air flap! It's all part of the cooling system. In my case, it was indeed the electromechanism that failed. It's probably best to get it checked at a workshop. They'll run proper diagnostics and replace the faulty part if needed. I am pretty sure that this is what you are looking for.

Thanks a lot! I was quoted around 590€ for the repair, which seems reasonable considering the part and labor. I will bring my car to the workshop. I really appreciate your insights! It's good to know I'm not alone with this issue.

That sounds familiar! I've got an i10 as well, and I had a similar problem last year. Check engine light, overheating... it was a nightmare. I remember reading about the grille shutter getting stuck. Have you looked into that?
