Hyundai i10 engine stalling at idle
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Hyundai i10 with a gasoline engine is experiencing stalling at idle and a check engine light, with an error indicating incorrect fuel composition. The suspected cause is a defective cable or plug connection, possibly related to the fuel composition sensor. A suggested solution is to inspect the sensor connection and consult a workshop for further diagnosis and repair, which previously cost another owner around 95€.

Interesting. No change in gas station or additives. Which component's cable/plug connection are you referring to?

I'm no mechanic, but I remember reading something about the fuel composition sensor having a fragile connector. But honestly, chasing it yourself might be a pain. I'd recommend a workshop. My issue was similar, but a bit more complex, and they eventually traced it to a faulty sensor connection. Cost me around 95€ to fix.

Thanks for the info. I'll check the sensor connection and then take it to a shop. The diagnostic and repair indeed pinpointed a defective plug connection, costing 95€. Appreciate the help!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I have an i10 too. I had almost the exact same symptoms a while back - check engine light, rough idle, the whole shebang. It was driving me nuts! Did you recently fill up at a different gas station than usual? Or maybe used a fuel additive? Incorrect fuel composition could point to a bad batch of fuel.
