Summary of the thread
A 2019 Hyundai i20 with a gasoline engine was experiencing starting issues, reduced engine power, and stored error codes. Thank you for your insights. How can I diagnose whether the cable or plug connection is defective?

You can visually check for corrosion or damage. Use a multimeter to test continuity. But honestly, given the symptoms and mileage, a workshop visit might be best. Could be a faulty sensor itself, and they can diagnose it properly. Expect around 95€ for the repair if it's just the sensor.

I appreciate the advice. It was indeed the camshaft sensor, specifically a defective connection. After replacing the sensor in the workshop, the problems are gone. Thanks again!

Hey, symptoms point towards that. Engine misfire and stalling are common with camshaft sensor issues. Have you checked the sensor's cable and plug connection? A defective connection there is a common culprit.
