Thanks for the reply! When you say pedal switch, do you mean the accelerator or the brake pedal? Is there any easy way to check the cables and plugs myself, or am I best off just taking it to a garage?

I meant the brake pedal switch. If the issue persists after inspecting these components, and given the error code, a visit to a workshop is advisable to rule out other potential faults within the cruise control system.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to a local garage, and you were spot on it was a faulty connection. They sorted it for 95€. You saved me a lot of guesswork!

I also drive a Hyundai i40. I had a similar cruise control issue. It might be a defective cable or plug connection. Have you checked the pedal switch? Is the error message still present after clearing the error memory?
