Air pockets? How do I check for those, and could that really be the issue with my Hyundai? I'm no mechanic; I barely know where to put the fuel!

Yeah, air can definitely mess things up. Imagine trying to run with a blocked nose! If you're not comfortable, it's best to get it checked by a pro. Could be something simple, or a sign of something bigger. I'd just top it up with coolant and drive it to a workshop.

You were spot on! I topped up the coolant and took it to the workshop. Turns out it was a leaky radiator hose, costing 52€ to fix. Thanks for the nudge; you saved me a fortune!

I had a similar scare with my ix20. Is your cooling fan working properly? Also, check the radiator cap and coolant reservoir for cracks or leaks. Start simple before assuming the worst, like a blown head gasket. It could just be a loose hose clamp or air pockets.
