Hyundai ix20 IAT Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Hyundai ix20 owner experienced a check engine light and loss of engine power, with a diagnostic code indicating an issue with the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor. The problem was confirmed by another owner who had a similar issue. Cleaning the sensor was ineffective, so a replacement was recommended. After replacing the faulty IAT sensor, the car's performance returned to normal.

Yeah, the code was definitely pointing at the IAT sensor. The temperature reading seemed off too, according to the reader. Did replacing the sensor fix it for you?

Okay, mine did the same thing! I tried cleaning it first, but no luck. I would suggest that you visit the workshop. They can fix it properly.

Thanks for the tip! Took it to a shop, and you were spot on – faulty IAT sensor. New sensor cost me 155€ installed, and the car's running great again. Appreciate the help!

Hey there! I had something similar happen on my ix20 a while back. The check engine light was on, and it felt like I was driving with the parking brake on. Was the error code specifically mentioning the IAT sensor?
